The Washington D.C. platform
The challenge
The mission of the government agency Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) is to protect the health, safety, economic interests and quality of life of residents, businesses and visitors to the District of Columbia.
The shortage of government agents means long waiting times for building permit applications.
The marketplace developed by Cocolabs helps to streamline the issuance of licenses and permits, as well as inspections. Building, housing and safety codes were taken into account in the design.
The solution
On behalf of the DCRA, Cocolabs has launched a platform for the city of Washington aimed at making it easier to book appointments with agents. The platform connects private players with government agents.
To achieve this, the platform uses the following functionalities:
– Synchronization of inspectors’ schedules
– Scheduling of appointments
– Setting of vendor services and prices by the administrator
– Permit number management
– Offline payment flow
