The Agile methodology puts the client at the center of the decisions. This methodology makes it possible to improve the development processes and to create a first version of the marketplace fast, while continuously deploying features to increase its performance.

This stage allows to pre-scope the business needs of the platform. This is the moment where you meet all the parties involved in your project: UX & UI designer, Proxy Product Owner, Account Manager and Lead Developer.

The MVP or Minimum Viable Product is the first operational version of your platform. Having a well-defined MVP is essential to define the scope of your project and the essential features to meet your business requirements.

A marketplace is in constant evolution and must continuously deploy new features to meet the market's expectations.

STEP 1

Start your marketplace's design

The first sprint (development cycle) is an initialization sprint. With your Proxy Product Owner, you define your roadmap and associated backlog (list of prioritized tasks). Our UX/UI team works with you on a design thinking approach, helps you to define the user personas and creates the first mockups. This is also the moment in which your staging is deployed, the test environment in which your marketplace will come to life and where it will be tested before going live and being revealed to your end users.

STEP 2

Develop your marketplace

The rest of your platform’s development is divided into sprints of 2-3 weeks guided by Agile ceremonies. With your Proxy Product Owner, you will do Sprint Planning to define the tasks which need to be done during the sprint. When it ends, the sprint will be assessed during a Sprint Review. You can participate in your team's daily meetings to understand the development priorities.

STEP 4

Ensure the marketplace's performance

The last sprint allows to test and ensure that the platform is perfectly operational. You have access to a Service Desk where you can raise any errors which you encounter. This is also when all the API configurations are finished.

Step 3

Reveal your marketplace

Once you have built your Minimum Viable Product (MVP), it will go live in its production environment where it can be accessed by your users. At this point you will have access to a dedicated support team that will accompany you during the next key stages of your project.

Continue your marketplace's evolution

Your Account Manager and your PPO work hand in hand to make your marketplace evolve and to develop additional features which will make it remain its market's leader.
